Trip Introduction
In December of 2025, we decided it was time for a trip to just sit and relax somewhere warm after our previous trips to Hawaii, Alpine Christmas Markets, and Spain. We chose a resort in the Cancun area and a time that allowed us to see family on the way home.
12/16-23/2025 – Relaxing in Cancun
On Tuesday the 16th we flew out of Des Moines early via Miami to Cancun. After collecting our luggage and clearing customs we checked-in and took the transfer to the Excellence Playa Mujeres resort. Other than a one-day excursion to visit Chichen Itza and a nearby cenote, we just spent the week relaxing at the resort, playing cards, and reading.

12/23-28/2025 – Time with Family
On the way back from Cancun, we stopped in Dallas for several days to spend the Christmas holiday with Julie’s family. We spent time watching TV, chatting, and eating. One highlight was a tour of AT&T stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
