Daytrip with Family
In May 2005, we took a day trip meeting James' parents at Bok Tower Gardens located north of Lake Wales, Florida. The gardens have a carillon (bell tower) called the "Singing Tower" where artists come and play live music. This reminded Julie and James of the tower and carillon on central campus at Iowa State Univeristy. The park was created by Edward Bok as the Mountain Lake Sanctuary in the mid to late 1920s.
